lyrics
I saw no passage between the fields.
What I thought was behind me had
become the side of a mountain.
What have I stolen that I can keep,
that will not change on me.
I’m moving fast, but I’m broken down.
And I’m going somewhere now.
Your eyes are blue now. Your voice is young.
And I am only a man.
Broken glass, an empty room,
my carefull steps are not worth taking.
And I’m tired.
Missouri singer/songwriter Lizzie Weber delivers a trio of songs lightly informed by country music, and fleshed out with strings. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 6, 2021
Australian singer Jessica tempers ornate baroque folk with stark gothic poetry, infusing sadcore with transcendent sensibilities. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 26, 2020
Edd Donovan's day job as a social worker brings a sense of empathy to his elegantly constructed political folk music. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 26, 2019
Such a prolific artist who creates such deep and meaningful music. The listener is forced to take in the very multi layered atmospheric instrumentation. What he’s doing is so different and unique in music by comparison to his peers. This is one of my very favorites of his solo albums. The back to back tracks of Cornelius and Solitary Slip really make this album for me. Such contrasting sounds but equally as brilliant lyrics and delivery. James Kilpatrick
